Gehrke, Louis F. (8 DEC 1885 – 10 JAN 1972)

At two o'clock Thursday afternoon, January 13, 1972, funeral services for Louis Fred Gehrke, 86, were conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. The Rev. Lester Kringle, pastor of the Alliance Church, Owen, officiated, and burial as made at Riverside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Arnold Vater, Ed Frederick, Eugene Santala, Earl Rusch, Art Karow and Joe Himes.

Mr. Gehrke passed away January 10, 1972 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, of complications of old age.

He was born December 8, 1885 at Calhoun, Wisconsin. He never married, and farmed in the Town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.) since 1903.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lena Holcombe of Campbell, Montana; a number of nieces and nephews; 18 great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces.
