Perkins, Sylvan Talmage (6 March 1947 – 10 June 2018)

Sylvan T. Perkins, 71, Colby, formerly of Neillsville, passed away Sunday June 10, 2018, at Ohana Haven Adult Family Home in Colby. Per his request, there will be no services held.

Sylvan Talmage Perkins was born March 6, 1947, in Torrance CA, to Ralph E. and Gladys M. (James) Perkins. He was raised and received his education in California. Sylvan worked for his brother, Gene, for many years, installing roofing and siding. He was united in marriage to Katherine L. Sullivan July 1, 1983, in St. Paul, MN. They moved to Neillsville in 1984, where he Sylvan worked for Floyd Short painting houses.

He had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and cruising the backroads.

He is survived, by three daughters: Mary of California, Ginni (Joe) Bilski of Neillsville and Jessica Perkins of Osseo; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers: Gene (Margo) and Sonny; four sisters: Muriel, Louise, Carol and Sherry; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sylvan was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathy, Dec. 18, 1998; six brothers: Ricky, Bobby, Artie, Roger, Ernie and Ronnie; and four sisters: Patsy, Judy, Rosemary and Leslie.
