Reno, Charles G. Sr. (10 JAN 1941 - 2 JUN 2018)

Charles G. Reno Sr., 77, of Stratford, died on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born on Jan. 10, 1941, in Marshfield.

A Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. this Thursday, June 7, at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield, with the Rev. Mark Krueger presiding.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday (today) and on Thursday from noon until the funeral service.

Charles G. Reno Sr., 77, Stratford, died on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Mark Krueger officiating. The visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 pm on Wednesday and from 12:00 pm until service time on Thursday at Rembs Funeral Home.

Charles was born on January 10, 1941 in Marshfield, to Milton and Angela (Sharnek) Reno. He was employed at Roddis Plywood which later became Weyerhaeuser Company and then Marshfield Door Systems for over 50 years. While working, he obtained certification as a state licensed millwright.

Charlie was always on the go and he lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time in the garden and on the farm and liked raising draft horses.

He is survived by his daughters, Caroline Rhodes, Karen Reno, Charlotte Reno, Carla Schallock, Jessica Greenberg and Jennifer Serwe and his stepdaughters, Patty Woodkey, Sandy Rueth and Cari Swensen. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, James Reno, Anita Catura, Marlene Cherney and Robert Reno.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Charles “Butch” Reno Jr. and a granddaughter, Madison Greenberg.
