Rizzi, Jacob M. (26 FEB 1896 – 20 APR 1974)
Jacob M. Rizzi, 78, of R. 2, Spencer, Wis., died April 20, 1974 at 8:02 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Services were held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Spencer, at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, 1974. Burial was made at West Spencer Cemetery (Clark Co., Wis.). Officiating at the services was Rev. Andrew Bofenkamp.
Mr. Rizzi was born February 26, 1896 in Austria. He came to the USA at the age of 10 and lived in Appleton, then moved to R. 2 Spencer until 1925, when he moved to Marshfield, where he was a mail carrier. After a few years they moved to R. 2 Spencer, where they farmed until he retired. He was a WWI Army Veteran.
He married the former Alice Powell, September 30, 1925 at Sacred Heart Church in Marshfield.
Mr. Rizzi was clerk for 16 years at Holmes School, Town of Sherman (Clark Co., Wis.). He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church of Spencer.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Raymond Rizzi, Plymouth; Mrs. (Rose) Kenneth Heller, R.2, Bonduel; Sylvester Rizzi, R. 2, Spencer; Jake Rizzi, R. 1, Stratford; Mrs. (Jacqueline) LeRoy Liesner, R. 1, Bonduel. One daughter preceded him in death. He has 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Walter (Anna) Gauger, Neenah. Two sisters preceded him in death.
