Cook, Marvin C. (19 JUN 1943 – 31 DEC 1973)
Marvin Charles Cook, 30, R. 1, Spencer, died on December 31, 1973 at Rochester Methodist Hospital following surgery. He had been in ill health the last ten years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on January 2, 1974 at the Spencer United Methodist Church, with burial in the West Spencer Cemetery. The Rev. Bervie A. Scott was officiating clergyman.
Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.
Marvin Cook was born on June 19, 1943 in the Town of Beaver, Clark County, Wisconsin. He received his education in Riplinger and Loyal High School. He lived in the Town of Beaver until 1964, when he moved to R. 1, Spencer. He was employed at Pathfinder Mobile Home in Spencer.
Marvin Cook is survived by his parents, Charles and Linda Cook; and the following brothers and sisters, Ellen, Shirley, Marjorie, Carol, Lnn, Scott, Thomas, and Harvey, at home; Mrs. John (Patricia) Schultz, Wausau; Robert Cook, Marshfield, and Roger Cook, Wausau.
He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Elsie Cook, Spencer, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Vincent, Loyal.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Linda Roder was organist and the hymns, "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross" were sung by Rev. and Mrs. Bervie Scott.
Pallbearers were Donald and David Vincent, Mike Cook, Dennis Cooke, Stephen Owen, and Mark Cook.
