Schlinsog, Frieda Lena (25 February 1886 – 28 January 1975)

Mrs. William (Frieda) Schlinsog, 88, died January 28 at Memorial Home in Neillsville.

The former Frieda Lena Kressig, daughter of Henry and Emma (Hessel) Kressig, she was born February 25, 1886, in Sheboygan.

She was married April 3, 1907, in the Town of Mead to Wi9lliam Schlinsog. He died June 21, 1956. After their marriage they farmed northwest of Greenwood. After the death of her husband she continued to live on the farm until 1965, when she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Mabel) Jensen, in Longwood. December 23, 1974, she was admitted to Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, and had since resided at Memorial Home.

Surviving besides her daughter are three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday from Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Douglas Groenewald officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
