Auman, Angela (23 August 1890 - 21 January 1975)

Mrs. Angela Auman, 84, died January 21, at 1:10 p.m., after suffering a stroke last Friday. She died at Memorial hospital in Neillsville.

Funeral services were held on Friday. Her body laid in state at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood, where arrangements were made. She was taken to the Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday night. Services were held at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. Michael Mertens officiated. Burial was made in the National Cemetery in Willard, on the family plot.

Mr. Angela Farakel Auman was born in Yugoslavia to Frank Farakel and Marie Bosy on August 23, 1890. She came to the United States and settled in Ely, Mn., in 1912. Mrs. Auman was married October 26, 1912, to Frank Auman, and they came to Willard April 17, 1915, and settled on a farm west of Willard, where she and her husband lived until 1947. Then they retired and lived in Willard. Her husband died October 7, 1949. She remained in Willard until 1968, when she entered the nursing home in Neillsville, where she lived until her death.

Surviving are eight children; three sons: Frank of Greenwood, Felix of Willard and Victor of Gallen Ellyn, Il.; five daughters: Mrs. John (Antonia) Panyan of Duluth, Mn., Mrs. John (Angela) Verhunce of Greenwood, Mrs. Vernon (Mary) Dergance of Broadview, Il., Mrs. Anne Hoffman, Reno, Nev., and Mrs. Ignac (Steffie) Gabrovic of Willard. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
