Ruggles, Leslie (Marriage – 25 January 1975)

Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, was the setting Saturday evening, January 25, for the wedding of Miss Leslie Ruggles and David Hilton. The Rev. Robert Sullivan officiated at the 7:30 ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ruggles, Sr., and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hilton, all of Withee. Readers at the candlelight service were Mrs. Kris Ruggles and Cindy Edgar.

The bride’s white velvet gown was fashioned with a scoop neckline and sheer sleeves adorned with pearl lace. A velvet-trimmed headpiece held her veil. She carried a Bible with cascading stephanotis as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Honor attendant Peggy Nosko, Owen, was identically attired in a gown of deep green velvet styled with sheer, light green sleeves. Her head was covered by a deep green circlet with sheer bow. Carnations and stephanotis formed her nosegay.

The groom was attended by Nyle Holton, Withee. Paul Ruggles, Withee, and Robert Ruggles, Jr., Owen, shared ushering duties.

Music was provided by Diane Johnson, soloist, and Bethany Andreason, organist.

Mrs. Diana Wagner served punch at a reception in the parish hall following the ceremony.
