Halbrader, Viola (1926? – 7 April 2018)

Viola Aimers Halbrader, 91, died Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville, NY.

She was born in Janesville, the daughter of Minnie and Nils Bystad. She married Claude Kreger March 6, 1943, in Beloit. They had two children together, Betty and Claude Jr., before divorcing in 1961. Viola married Robert Aimers February 10, 1962, at The Old Stone Church in Rockton, IL. They were happily married until his death December 16, 1979 in Beloit. She married Victor Halbrader December 24, 1984 in Richmond, TX, afterwards residing at his farm near Neillsville. He died May 28, 2000. Viola lived in the Neillsville area from 1984 until 2017, when she moved to central New York to be near family. She was employed by Admiral in Harvard, IL, from 1960 until her retirement in 1978.

Viola was devoted to her family and was an animal lover who also enjoyed playing cards, fishing, gardening, canning, baking and knitting. Special thanks, is given to Jennifer Pagenkopf for her caring friendship over many years.

Survivors include her daughter, Betty Flora (Roy) of Flatonia, TX; son Claude Kreger, Jr. of Joplin, MO; grandchildren: William Flora (Gary Casement) of Fayetteville, NY, Sean Flora (Nancy) of San Antonio, TX, Christine Kreger Rios (Mark) of Milwaukee, Michelle Flora Lee (Russell) of Ashburn, VA, and Debra Kreger of Phoenix, AZ; six great-grandchildren: Nathan Rios, Megan Lee, Hannah Rios, Elizabeth Flora, Brennah Lee and Matthew Flora; sister-in-law, Laura Jensen of South Beloit, IL; daughter-in-law, Carol Aimers of Beloit; step-grandchildren: Christopher Aimers of Delavan, Tiffany Aimers Wiemuth (Ray) of Belvidere, IL, and Aimee Aimers of Beloit; as well as nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased, by her step-sons, Michael Aimers, Gerald Aimers and Ronald Aimers; daughters-in-law: Mary Ann Kreger and Nancy Aimers; siblings: Lucille Olson, Mildred “Bobbie” Dressler, Clifford Grover, Lillian Clippert Jiru, Ferne Turner, Erna Larson, Florence Kincaid, Iva Briggs and Iola Millard Scherwinsky.

Funeral service for Viola will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Norm Starks officiating. Burial will be in Luther Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Viola.
