Miss Barbara Jean Fritsch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myron J. Fritsch, Withee 
(Clark Co., Wis.), was escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father 
to Atty. Charles J. Stansberry, Wauwatosa, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Stansberry 
Jr., Pleainfeld, Ill., during a 2 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, March 13, 1971, at 
the Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church. A reception was held in the 
church's Fellowship Hall following the ceremony. Miss Gail Sommerfeld, 
Milwaukee, and Miss Linda Merrill, Brookfield, received the gifts.
The Rev. Charles Shinlaub, pastor of the Wauwatosa Avenue Methodist Church, 
performed the double ring ceremony as candelabra lighted the altar. Miss Diane 
Stansberry, sister of the groom, sang "One Hand, One Heart" and the English 
translation of "Ich Liebe Dich."
A floor length empire styled whit crepe gown with train, trimmed with pearls and 
seed pearls at the neck, waist and on the long puff sleeves and cuffs, was worn 
by the bride. Her veil was tiers of silk illusion hled in place by a white 
velvet bow headpiece, which formed a Tiera-crown. She carried a bouquet of 
weathered red and white carnations, white roses and trailing ivy.
The maid of honor, Miss Karla Knutsen, Milwaukee, and the bridal aides, Mrs. 
Jacqueline Johnson, Woodruf,a nd Mrs. Sandr Linn, West Allis, sister of the 
bride, wore navy blue crepe, floor length empire styled dresses, accented with 
white ribbon at the bodice and streamers at the back, and white embroidered long 
puff sleeves. They wore white fur pillbox hats and carried white fur muffs with 
arrangements of red tipped, white feathered carnations and trailing ivy affixed 
on them.
The mother of the bride wore a coat dress and hat of winter white, silver lurex, 
with matching shoes and purse accented by brown gloves and a mink boa. Her purse 
corsage was of two tone peach tea roses highlighted by silver ribbon.
Attendants of the groom were Dan Busalacchi, Cedarburg, best man, and Ted E. 
Fritsch, Green Bay, cousin of the bride, and Russel Johnson, Woodruff, 
brother-in-law of the bride, as groomsmen. Wedding guests were seated by Bill 
Graffis, Plainfield, Ill., and Keith Carter, Chicago.
A party was given at the Black Steer in West Allis following the rehearsal on 
Friday evening.
The bride was a 1960 graduate of the Owen-Withee High School. She earned a 
degree from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and did graduate work 
at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She is employed by the Northwest 
Mutual Insurance Company at Milwaukee.
The groom is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He studied at 
the University of Iowa graduate school, and earned his law degree from Marquette 
University Law School.
After a two week honeymoon in Las Vegas, Squaw Valley, and the West Coast, the 
couple will reside at 4915 N. 85th Street, Milwaukee.
Prior to her marriage, the bride elect was honored at a shower given a the home 
of Mrs. Quentin Merrill, Brookfield, by Mrs. Merrill, Mrs. W.G. Linn, and Mrs. 
T.R. Johnson, with friends and relatives attending.
