Stoiber, Adeline L. (Brushaber) (13 FEB 1931 - 25 MAR 2018)

Adeline L. Stoiber, age 87, of Dorchester, passed away surrounded by her family at the Colonial Center in Colby on Sunday, March 25, 2018, under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Rev. Timothy L. Oudenhoven presided. Burial followed at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Her family received relatives and friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

The honor of pallbearer belonged to Jonathon Stoiber, Courtney Faude, Rudy Zoellick, Zach Zoellick, Deonte Gajewski and Reggie Vanlue.

The honorary pallbearers are Dale Danen and David Danen.

Adeline was born on Feb. 13, 1931, in Athens, the daughter of Elmer and Rose (Weiler) Brushaber. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Stoiber on Sept. 26, 1951, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford. After their marriage, Bob and Adeline farmed for a period of time. Sadly, Bob passed away on May 19, 2012.

She worked at Krueger’s Supermarket in Dorchester for many years, as a janitor at St. Louis School in Dorchester and, alongside her husband and family, cheesemaking at Pleasant View Coop Dairy in Medford. She enjoyed cleaning, baking, stopping at garage sales and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her children’s eyes, she was a saint among mothers. Adeline will be remembered as always putting everyone before herself with a smile and a twinkle in her eye.

Adeline is survived by her two sons, John Stoiber of Dorchester and Robert Jr. (Jane) Stoiber of Curtiss; her four daughters, Marjean Zoellick, Cheryl (Jerry) Vanlue, Mary (Larry) Cook and Theresa (Terry) Faude, all of Dorchester; her six grandchildren, Kristi (Andy) Busscher of Marshfield, Rudy Zoellick of Abbotsford, Zachary (Megan) Zoellick of Dorchester, Courtney (Rory Brecke) Faude of Suamico, Reggie Vanlue of Dorchester and Jonathon (Shawna) Stoiber of Spencer. She is further survived by her nine great-grandchildren; her brothers, Alvin Gilbertson, Melvin Brushaber, Eugene (Helen) Brushaber and Henry (Marcella) Brushaber; her sisters, Donna Brey, Roceda Neumann and Norine Bahr; along with other relatives and friends.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Brushaber and Rose Gilbertson; her step-father, Melvin Gilbertson; her husband, Bob; her son-in-law, Richard Londre; her sisters, Arlene Brandner, Delores Draeger, Loretta Krug and Sandy Warzecha; and her brother, Elmer Brushaber.

Her arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home–Spencer.
