Greene, Gary Lyle (14 JAN 1942 - 18 MAR 2018)
Gary Lyle Greene, 76, long-time resident of Cadott, and most recently of 
Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 18, 2018, at Mayo Clinic 
Health System with his family by his side. 
Gary was born Jan. 14, 1942, to Arthur and Inga (Emerson) Greene. He was united 
in marriage to Nancy Bruhn Oct. 9, 1965, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in 
Cadott. 
After retiring from Pactiv, he found time for his many hobbies. Gary will be 
remembered for creating beautiful quilts, colorful flower gardens, his famous 
fleece mittens, but mostly, his love for his family. He enjoyed visiting with 
his family and friends over a game of cards or a cup of coffee. He was a 
warm-hearted and compassionate man who will be missed by many. 
He is survived by his wife – Nancy, of 52 years; daughter – Michelle Thelen (Tim 
Jones); grandchildren – Tyler Thelen, Brittney Thelen (Alex Quinnell) and Alexis 
King; brothers – Jack Greene and Douglas (Butch) Greene; sisters – Marlis 
Bahling, Donna (Tom) Haas and Nancy (Willie) Luedtke; sisters-in-law – Bernice 
Greene and Shirley Greene; and many extended family members. 
He was preceded in death by his brothers – Lee Greene, Glenn Greene and Wayne 
Greene; sisters – Doris Christorf and Ann Hakes; brothers-in-law, Don Christorf 
and Vergil Hakes; sisters-in-law – Roseanne Greene, Loretta Greene and Karen 
Greene. 
A celebration of life will be held at noon, Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Big 
Drywood Lutheran Church in Cadott, with Pastor Lucy Schottelkorb officiating. 
Interment will be in the Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott at a later date.
A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m., until the time of service 
Saturday, at the church.
