Wenzel, Milfred V. (20 FEB 1906 – 6 JAN 1971)
Milfred Wenzel, 64, city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), suffered an apparent heart attack early yesterday morning at his home, and then was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield in the city ambulance. Several hours later, at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 6, 1970, he passed away.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 9 at the Alliance Church, Owen, with Rev. Lester Kringle officiating. Burial will be made at Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Clifford Hansen, Elmer Venet, Hjalmer Kangas, Tony Kolesar, Henry Rohland and Earl Rusch. Honorary pallbearers will be Wallace Wood, Bill Warns, Leonard Kivikko, and Everett Johnson.
Milfred V. Wenzel was born February 20, 1906 in the community of Clark (Clark Co., Wis.), and was educated in the local school system. On the 28th of May, 1932 he was united in marriage to the former Edith Ball, and the couple then farmed in the town of Hixon until 1951. At that time the couple then came to Owen and he became an employee of the Clark County Hospital for nine years, and then retired at the age of 62 years.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Eugene, who is stationed at an air forece base at Omaha, Nebraska, and Vernon of White Bear Lake, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Donna) Clifton, Mesa, Arizona, and Mrs. Kenneth (Delores) Dearth of Wautoma; and 13 grandchildren.
