Clausnitzer, David George (12 NOV 1931 - 4 OCT 2003)

David G. Clausnitzer, 71, Town of Medford, died Saturday, October 4, 2003, at the Memorial Health Center emergency room.

Funeral serviced were Wednesday, October 8, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford, with Rev. John Melke officiating.

Pallbearers were Lyle Schwarz, Glenn Emmerich, Alex Butkus, Al Lietzke, Les Toehler, and Bob Schmeiser.

Cremainal interment at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II will take place at a later date.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

David Clausnitzer was born November 12, 1931, in Medford to the late Otto Sr. and Esther (Reichardt) Clausnitzer. He attended Medford area schools and graduated from Medford High School. He hauled milk and did various jobs.

His marriage to Jane Tacke, who survives, took place October 10, 1953 in Milwaukee. He began working for the Taylor County Highway Department in the mid 1950’s. He was a grader operator and retired in the mid 1990’s after 42years.

He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford and a former church council member. He enjoyed hobby faming, gardening, deer hunting, traveling, woodworking and other projects.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Jerri (Steve) Suchomel, Medford, and Kris Clausnitzer, Fond du Lac; two sons, Tom (Sarah) of Medford and Mark of Rhinelander; a twin sister, Doris (Robert) Tacke of Medford; three brothers, Robert (Viola), Alfred (Donna), both of Medford, and Otto Jr. of Milwaukee; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Memorials may be made in his name to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and School.
