Beaver, Marla Jo (Marriage – 30 November 1974)

Miss Marla Jo Beaver and James Todd Larsen exchanged marriage vows Saturday evening, November 30, in a candlelight ceremony performed at the Neillsville Methodist Church. The Rev. William Noble was the officiating clergyman.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Allen R. Beaver and Mr. and Mrs. Bradley D. Larsen, all of Neillsville.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of white sata peau and venise lace trimmed with pink pleated ruffles and enhanced by a chapel length train. A venise lace Camelot headpiece held her bouffant veil edged in matching lace. An arrangement of pint roses and baby’s breath formed her bouquet.

Arrangements of red roses and baby’s breath were carried by the bridal attendants, Mrs. John Beth, Reedsburg, as matron of honor, Miss Leann Beaver, Neillsville as maid of honor, and Mrs. Jeffrey Larsen, Crystal, Mn., and Miss Joyce Ziegler, Sparta, as bridesmaids. Complimenting their empire style gowns of pink polyester knit trimmed in burgundy velvet were burgundy velvet trimmed pink hats.

Jay Emling, Eau Claire, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Greg Foster, La Crosse, Jeffrey Larsen, Crystal, Mn., and Warren Beaver, Sparta. Glenn Kuehnel and Mark Kuchenbecker seated guests.

Following the ceremony, the bridal couple greeted guests at a reception at Bali Hai Supper Club.

The newlyweds are both graduates of Neillsville High School and the bride, who is employed by an Eau Claire firm, also attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Her husband is presently a student at the UW-Eau Claire. They will live at University Village, Eau Claire.
