Bredeson, Julius (13 DEC 1886 – 14 AUG 1970)

Rev. H.W. Luetkehoelter, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, conducted final rites for Julius Bredeson at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Longwood. Immediately following, military rites were conducted at graveside by Legionnaires of the Van Huizen-Fritz Post, Owen, with burial being made in the parish cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Hub Missling, Charles Pribbernow, Art Petke, John Ericksmoen, Milton Carlin and Adolph Wendt.

Julius Bredeson succumbed to complications of old age at the Clark County Hospital on August 14, 1970. He was 83 years of age.

Born December 13, 1886 in Norway, he came to the United States when a lad of seven years of age. He never married, but after serving in World War I he established himself on a farm in the Town of Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), where he farmed until his retirement, and then continued to make the township his home.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Borghill) Thiel, Owen, and Mrs. John (Hilda) Awe, rural Withee.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Olivia Bowen and Mrs. Tilly Stellie.
