Moen, Adella B. (19 FEB 1934 - 20 FEB 2018)

Adella B. Moen, 84, of Medford, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice. Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will take place this summer at the Mondeaux Dam Recreation Area. Burial of cremated remains will take place at the Perkinstown Cemetery.

Adella was born on Feb. 19, 1934 in Spooner. She was a graduate of Spooner High School. She married Donald E. Moen on July 23, 1953 in Trego and he preceded her in death on April 27, 2015.

Adella worked as a waitress for the Lamplighter Supper Club and went on to work in the lab at Foremost. She then stayed at home and raised her children. She enjoyed working in her and Don’s flower and vegetable gardens. She loved to cook food to share with her family and passed on the art of canning vegetables from her garden to her grandchildren. She last worked in custodial care at the Taylor County Courthouse. Adella also liked to crochet, complete puzzles and keeping up with friends and family on Facebook. Her family was most important to her, especially all her grandchildren.

Adella is survived by her children, Donald (Ilona) Moen of Cochran, Patty (John “David”) Neubauer and James “Jim” Moen, all of Medford, Jerry (Erin) Moen of Benson, Ariz., Dawn (Keith) Lipinski of Athens and Henry Moen of Stetsonville; 22 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved dogs, Ginger and Buddy.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
