Claytor, Robert Marshall (29 JUN 1945 - 22 JAN 2018)

Robert Marshall Claytor, 72 of Boyd, died Sunday, January 22, 2018. He was born on June 29, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland the son of the late Robert and Evelyn (Marshall) Claytor.

He grew up there and after High School entered the Coast Guard where he served 25 years.

On December 31, 1987 he was united in marriage to Gloria Rubach in New Orleans. The couple lived in Delaware after the coast guard where Robert worked for Sears and Back to Basics. Robert retired and the couple moved to Boyd in 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Claytor of Boyd, three step children, Kevin Pooler of Boyd, Brenda (Ray) Schwark of Cornell and Brian (Kim) Pooler of Alamosa, Colorado, 10 step grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one brother, Wayne (Linda) Claytor of Middletown, Delaware.

A memorial visitation will be from 6-9 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley.

Interment will take place Thursday at the State Veteran’s Cemetery-Spooner.
