Saibold, Erna (3 MAY 1920 – 26 JAN 2018)

Marshfield - Erna Saibold, age 97, Marshfield, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at Atrium Post-Acute Care, Marshfield. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church (Missouri Synod), W2880 Granton Road, Granton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am Wednesday until the time of the service at the church.

Erna was born May 3, 1920 in the Town of York, Clark County, to William and Clara (Zickert) Diercks. She attended the Forman School. After graduation she worked with her parents on the farm. On March 27, 1940 she married Walter Saibold in St. John's Lutheran parsonage, Neillsville. She and her husband farmed most of their married life in the Town of York, retiring in 1982, but still resided on the farm. Walter preceded her in death on July 16, 1997.

Survivors include their two daughters; Lola (Richard) Carolfi, Stratford and Linda (Duane) David, Springfield, Nebraska, 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Granton and their Ladies Aid Society. Erna was also a member of the Granton senior citizens.
