Potocnik, Joseph Sr. (17 SEP 1874 – 20 DEC 1969)

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 20, 1969 at Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home for Joseph Potocnik Sr., wh passed away December 17, 1969 at the Memorial Hospital in Neillsville. Death was due to complications of age.

Rev. Hilding Peterson of the United Church of Christ officiated, and burial was made at the Evergreen Cemetery in Medford. Six sons served as the pallbearers.

Mr. Potocnik was born September 18, 1874 in Yugoslavia. He married Anna Kaprconikar in Yugoslavia and then came to the state. In 1914 they moved to Wisconsin.

Survivors included a sister in Yugoslavia; 2 daughters, Mrs. Anna Friedenfels and Mrs. Elton (Alice) Fritz,; six sons, Joseph, Frank, Tony, Carl, William and Edward, all of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.); 32 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
