Bogumill, John G. (24 OCT 1886 – 29 DEC 1970)

John G. Bogumill, a former Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 1970, at St. Petersburg, Florida of a reported aneurysm.

Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp, on Saturday, January 2, 1971, with Father Brockman officiating. Interment was made in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Thorp. Pallbearers were: Louis Gruszynski, Francis Conway, Malin Malinowski, Tom Polnaszek, Ed Polnaszek, and Bill Nolechek.

Mr. Bogumill was born October 24, 1886 at Lamont, Illinois. He was married to Hannah Gruber of Stanley on October 7, 1913. They made Thorp their home, where he built and operated the Funeral Home. He moved to Stevens Point in 1962, where he resided until his death. He was preceded in death by his first wife Hannah, and is survived by his widow, Martha Burhlman Klingman Bogumill, whom he was united in marriage with July 18, 1964.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lorrayne Fucett Kucharek of Stevens Point, Marjorie M. Arsenault of Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers, Peter Bogumill of Rib Lake, and William Bogumill of Long Beach, California; three sisters, (Doris) Mrs. Sylvester Krakowiecki of Lublin, (Helen) Mrs. Leo Sloetke of Milwaukee, (Mae). Mrs. Ted Artabasy of Downers Grove, Illinois.
