Jones, Christopher “Chris” Robert (18 October 1966 – 25 November 2017)

Christopher “Chris” Robert Jones, 51, of Chapel Hill, NC, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017.

Chris was born Oct. 18, 1966, to the late Ronald Jones and Judith (Gelander) Jones in Cape Girardeau, MO. He grew up in Neillsville. He earned his undergraduate degree at Ambassador College and earned his MBA from Houston Baptist University. Chris lived in Houston, TX, close to 20 years, where he served as vice president of finance for Hewlett Packard. Since moving to North Carolina, he held the position of vice president and regional CFO of Lenovo, and most recently was senior vice president of finance with CompuCom. Chris also earned his CPA certification while living in North Carolina. He was known for his hospitality, and love for his family. Chris enjoyed skiing, hiking, cooking, traveling, fishing, and hunting.

Chris is survived by his wife of 28 years, A. Renee Jones; son Harrison Christopher Jones; daughter Vanessa Renee Jones; Mother Judith Jones; brothers Mark Jones, Andrew Jones, Matthew Jones, and Thomas Jones; sister Sarah Jones Windsor; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday Dec. 1, 2017, at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St. Apex, NC 27502. The family received friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial was at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, TX, Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017.
