The Sir Christopher Wrenn Chapel of the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia, was the site of a wedding on June 13, 1970 between Susan Elizabeth Cooke and William Charles Soderberg. Susan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earle T. Cooke of 709 Tanyard St., Williamsburg, Virginia. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Soderberg, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The Reverend Stuart Sandberg, teacher of Theology of Manhattan College, New York, officiated at the 2:00 p.m. wedding Mass. Commentary and assistant was John Stewart of Harwood Heights, Illinois.

Mrs. Linda Cooke Johnson, Menlo Park, California, and Donald W. Soderberg, Marshfield, Wisconsin, were the couple's attendants. Robert A. Clary, Alexandria, Virginia, and Greg English of Washington, D.C., ushered.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at The Cascades.

For her wedding, the bride chose a floor length white dress of rose patterned silk organza, empire waist, scoop neck, 3/4 length loose choir boy sleeves, and a wreath headpiece of lavender, blue and rose flowers to hold her straight full length veil. She carried a same variety and color of flowers. The matron of honor was seen in lavender organza styled in empire floor length, and carried a bouquet of lavender and blue flowers.

The newlyweds are now on a honeymoon in Europe, where they will travel until September 1st, and then reside in Washington, D.C., where he is an English instructor at Charles County Community College, La Plata, Maryland, and she is employed at the National Art Gallery.
