Arsenault, Marjorie M. (26 OCT 1921 – 29 SEP 2017)

Marjorie Marie (Bogumill) Arsenault, October 26, 1921 – September 29, 2017, originally from Thorp (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, resident of Omaha, Nebraska for many years, and currently of Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully after a full and active life of family, artistry and service to her community, which included working at Spanish Point as a docent, and volunteering at the South County Food Pantry for many years. Up until her death she was still helping others by making sleeping mats for the homeless.

Some of her happiest memories were spent on fishing trips to Canada, river rafting in her 70's, kayaking in her 80's, hot air ballooning, parasailing, painting and spending time with family and friends. She was loved and will be missed.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence J. Arsenault; her sister, Lorrayne (Bogumill) Kucharek of Florida; and her great-granddaughter, Abigail Karow, San Carlos California.

Marjorie is survived by four daughters: Kay Nichols and Ann Potter, both of Venice, Florida; Christine Arsenault (Steve Fouts) of Kentucky; Lorrie Catlett (Rob) of Emporia, Kansas. Marjorie also had eight grandchildren: Tiffany (Dave) Karow of California; Brian (Shelly) Potter of Iowa; Mariah (Caleb) Cline of Kansas; Johanna (Britton) Waldron) of Texas; Emma (Mark) Inman of Kansas; Chris (Christy) Nichols of Nebraska; Wendy (Dan) Pecka of Nebraska; Jill (Shane) Keller of Nebraska. There are 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on October 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Farley Funeral Home, 265 S. Nokomis Ave., Venice, Florida, 34285. Interment will be on Monday, October 16 at the Sarasota National Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Ave., Sarasota, Florida, 34238, or to the South County Food Pantry, 247 Center Ct., Venice, Florida, 34285.
