Muckerheide, Sylvester Nicholas Jr. (19 April 1946 – 8 October 2017) With Flag

Sylvester Nicholas Muckerheide Jr. of Neillsville died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, om Elcho. He was 71 years old. He was born April 19, 1946, in West Bend, a son of the late Sylvester and Lucille (Pfenning) Muckerheide Sr.

He married Sharon Wellner, July 16, 1966, in West Bend. Syl graduated in 1964 from West Bend High School, and then went on to serve in the United States Coast Guard. After serving his country, Syl and
Sharon moved back to West Bend to raise their family. Eventually they moved to Neillsville, where he fully enjoyed spending his time outdoors. Syl was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved spending time with his wife, family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Sharon, survivors include three daughters, Wendy (Chad) Graff of the Town of Farminton, Tammy (fiancé Jeff Petermann) Muckerheide of West Bend, and Jenny (Mike) Horner of the Town of Erin; eight grandchildren: Spencer, Stacey, Jacob, and Zachary Graff; Greg (Jackie) Petermann, Ashley (Shaun) Qualmann, and Jessica, and Nick Horner; three great-grandchildren, Cooper, Camden, and Crosby Petermann; and a brother, Bruce (Sandi) Muckerheide of West Bend. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Pat Muckerheide.
