Hladilek, Cheryl Jean (Hattamer) (27 AUG 1949 - 3 SEP 2017)

Cheryl Jean Hladilek, Sheldon, died Sept. 3, 2017, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Cheryl was born Aug. 27, 1949, in Spokane, Wash., to Jim Hattamer and Shirley (Retzlaff) Poehnelt. She married William Hladilek Dec. 21, 1997, in Ladysmith.

Cheryl is best remembered for her love of family, gardening and making her home welcome to all. She always welcomed visitors with a smile, good conversation and usually a meal.

She is survived by her husband – William Hladilek; children – Michael Kiblen (Brenda Cool), Jeffery Devolve (Christina Moore), Tonya (Eric) Eichelt and Lorrie DeVolve (Jason Herman); grandsons – Jacob and Connor Eichelt, John Tarris, and Kodie Patrie and Lukas Guider; sisters – Joyce (Rick) Anderson and Dolly Fisk; brother – Tom Hattamer; brothers-in-law – Charles (Betty) Hladilek and Thomas (Wilma) Hladilek; and sister-in-law – Frances (Frank) Vincent.

She was preceded in death by her father – Jim Hattamer; mother – Shirley (Retzlaff) Poehnelt; and several aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life was held at Haley Memorial Park in Sheldon, Thursday, Sept. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a lunch served at noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in loving memory of Cheryl Hladilek to be made to the American Cancer Society.
