Gustafson, Hilmer (27 APR 1900 – 9 JUL 1969)

Rev. Kenneth Dix officiated at the final rites conducted Saturday afternoon, July 12, at the United Church of Christ, Owen, for Hilmer Gustafson, a longtime resident of the town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.). Mr. Gustafson died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Wednesday, July 9, 1969, where he had undergone heart surgery. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Serving as pallbearers were Lester Kallberg, John Burtard, Cornelius Driscoll, Ross Braithwaite, Daniel Fredericks, and Henry Buss. In charge of the floral offering were Mrs. Kallberg, Mrs. Axel Lindgren and Mrs. John Burtard.

Hilmer Mannon Gustafson was 69 years of age, being born April 27, 1900 in Illinois. In 1909 he moved to the town of Green Grove, where he had since made his home farming. On February 14, 1934 he was united to the former Alice Thess in a wedding ceremony performed at Withee. The couple has two sons, Mannon and Franklin, both of Colby, and five grandchildren. In addition he is survived by four brothers, Reuben, Ebner, Alvin and Harold, and a sister, Frances.
