Chitwood, Lola A. (Mallo) (27 JAN 1941 – 28 MAY 2017)

Lola A. Chitwood passed away on May 28, 2017 in Cloverdale, Ore., after a short illness. Funeral services were held on June 25 in Oregon.

Lola was born on Jan. 27, 1941 in Polly to the late Hughie and Leona Mallo. She was from a large family with nine siblings. In April of 1959, she married Robert R. Chitwood and moved to Tillmook, Ore. in 1963. Lola had a huge passion for reading and loved her flowers and family very much. She worked at the Lincoln City, Ore. care facility for many years. She was a very kind person and will be missed dearly.

Lola is survived by her four children, Robert (Sandy) Jr., Larry (Connie) and Susan (Tony) Hancock and Mike (Lori); siblings, Betty (Laverne) Kroeplin and Merideth Westaby, all of Stanley, Sally Schutten of Hannibal, Pamela (Ronnie) Kruppe of Ingram, Earl (Pam) Mallo of Ladysmith, Byron (Robin) Mallo of Medford, Brenda Skabroud of Jump River, Cheryl (Fred) Romig of Gilman and Charlotte (Russ) Goebel of Perkinstown; ten grandchildren, Kristi Chitwood, Tim and Cassidy Streeter, Justin, Chad and Lynde Hancock, Emma and Spencer Chitwood and Larry Jo and Amy Chitwood; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Lola was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Kenny Joe; brothers-in-law, Tom Skabroud, Gerald Westaby and John Schutten.
