T.B. Tuttle of Amber was in town on Saturday.

W.J. Rush was at Stevens Point Friday on business.

Bob Brauer went to Chicago Saturday on a business trip.

Wm. Wills of Colby transacted business here Saturday.

Ben Ripplinger of Ripplinger was here on business Friday.

Editor Lang of Withee was here on business last Saturday.

Al. Dreckmeyer of Beloit spent Sunday with friends here.

Fred Nelson of town Beaver was here Saturday on business.

C.H. Clute was here from Greenwood Saturday on business.

Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Stout of Beaver were here on Saturday.

Mrs. Bob Brauer and son are home from a four weeks’ visit at Oshkosh.

G.B. Parkhill of Abbotsford is here this week on court business.

Mrs. Henry Hawks of Frankfort, S.D., is here for a visit with relatives.

R.A. Clemens drove a new Oldsmobile up from Janesville on Friday.

Albert Schwartz of Greenwood transacted business here Saturday.

General Chas. King will be here tonight (Thursday) to inspect Co. I.

Emil Wepfer has taken a position as pharmacist at the Sniteman Drug Store.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Colby of Loyal spent Sunday here with friends.

Mr. and Mrs. R.V. Brown and Miss Densmore spent Sunday at Stanley.

Mr. and Mrs. John Plummer returned Monday from a visit at Alma Center.

Miss Helen Rose came home Saturday from a visit with friends at Oshkosh.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Albright and Mrs. A.C. Martin were at Humbird on Sunday.

Miss Emma Brothers returned to Lancaster Monday after a short visit with her father.

Miss Patricia Barton has gone to Grand Rapids to take a position in the telephone office.

Bert Dux and Darrell Cummings got home Friday from overseas. Both are looking fine.

Miss Jessie Wolff is home from Waseka, Minn., where she has been trimming this season.

Mrs. Geo. Rude and Mrs. Young went to Chicago last week to spend several weeks.

Ted Wepfer came up from Norwalk Saturday to join his wife here for an over-Sunday visit.

Frank Bunnell of Mauston is visiting Russell Colman. He is attending West Point.

A little daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Pribbenow at the hospital Sunday.

Mrs. Wm. Meyers entertained a party of young ladies Thursday evening at a shower for Miss Daisy Glass.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Irvine of Loyal spent Sunday here with their son, County Treasurer John Irvine and family.

Mrs. Edw. Korzelius and baby returned home to Waters Meet, Mich., after a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Kaudy.

Murray Benedict of Mankato, Minn., stopped off here Friday to spend a few hours with his parents. He has been attending the cattle sale at Marshfield.

V.D. Cronk of Chicago, of the valuation division of the Inter-State Commerce Commission, is here working in the County Treasurer’s office, gathering statistics.

Mrs. Geo. Barr and children of Silverton, Ore., and Mrs. Van Langford of Spokane, Wash., are here for a visit with their sister, Mrs. John Richardson, and other relatives.

Mrs. M.C. Rodolph and baby and Miss Katherine Alexander left Thursday for Tulsa, Okla., where Mrs. Rodolph joins her husband and again takes up her residence.

Robert Lee, of the Times office, went to Chicago Saturday to take a six-week course in linotype instruction. Geo. Wasserburger is doing his work in his absence.

Henry Reise of Loyal arrived here Sunday from overseas and spent a few days with County Treasurer Irvine and family. Mr. Reise is still suffering from the effects of shellshock. He also suffered a broken leg while across.

Dr. H.F. Derge has returned home, having received his discharge in Chicago, where he has recently been engaged in surgical work in the U.S. Army General Hospital. He will resume his practice in Eau Claire with the firm of Drs. Lyman, Derge, Curtis & Lyman.

Robert Eunson and family arrived here from Lewiston, Mont., last week for a month’s visit here and at Loyal. Dale Eunson drove the Eunson car the entire trip of 1500 miles. Bob came down Friday, not being able to resist the temptation to get back to the old stomping grounds and meet the old boys.

Pete Cagle went to Fond du Lac on business Tuesday.

Mike Cardorelli is home from a visit at Oshkosh.

Mrs. J.W. Hommel was at Marshfield on Monday.

Frank Wheeler was here from Thorp this week.

H.P. Kelsey went to Milwaukee Monday on business.

C.C. Kroll transacted business at Wausau on Tuesday.

Geo. Wolff is home from a brief visit at Milwaukee and Sheboygan.

Jos. Klauda and C.B. Culbertson of Stanley were here on business Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. John Weitrich of Greenwood spent Monday here with friends.

Mrs. Mart Lastofka spent several days last week at Eau Claire with friends.

Mrs. Trinrud of Loyal spent a few days this week with Sheriff and Mrs. Weaver.

Miss Ruddock of California is here visiting her cousins, Mrs. Sniteman and Mrs. Ruddock.

Mrs. J. Loy is home from Beloit, where she spent the winter with her son.

Mrs. Fred Scott and daughter returned home to Ladysmith Monday night after spending a few weeks in the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Almira Head.
