Schultz, Jerry H. (13 DEC 1935 - 11 JUN 2017)

Jerry H. Schultz, age 73, of Abbotsford, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Aspirus Medford Hospital.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Peace United Church of Christ in Dorchester. The Rev. Doris Ruben will officiate. Military Honors provided by the Dorchester American Legion Post #517.

Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.

Serving as urn bearers are his children, Darlene, Gail, Kevin and Henry.

Jerry was born on September 27, 1943, the son of Harold and Hilda (Neuhaus) Schultz in Abbotsford. He attended Pichard School and joined the U. S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Jerry was united in marriage to Judy Winchell on November 15, 1969 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester.

Jerry worked for Albrecht Cheese Factory for many years. In 1972, he took over the family farm until 1994. Jerry then worked for Northwest Hardwoods in Dorchester, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed polka music, scratching off lottery tickets, joking around, watching westerns and older game shows, NASCAR and playing bingo. Most importantly, Jerry cherished his family.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Judy of Abbotsford; two daughters, Darlene (Tory) Lehman of Manitowoc and Gail (Mark) Chmielowiec of Rib Lake; two sons, Kevin (Vicky) of Stetsonville and Henry of Abbotsford and nine grandchildren.

He is further survived by a brother, Allen Schultz of Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters, Sue Zimmer of Poniatowski and Donna (Darwin) Nelson of Genoa City; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janet and a brother, Tom.
