Seidl, Martha (Russ) (11 DEC 1929 - 9 JUN 2017)

Martha (Russ) Seidl, 87 of the City of Medford, passed away on Friday, June 9 at Country Gardens Assisted Living, Medford where she had resided for the past day under the care of Hope Hospice.

The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 15 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, with Father Phil Juza and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Interment will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Medford.

Honorary pallbearer will be Chuck Zenner; Active pallbearers will be Marc Kleist, Ed Hemmer, Dave and Sam Klinner, Steve and Ryan Brost.

Visitation will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Thursday, June 15.

Martha was born on December 11, 1929, at Laupheim, Baden-Württemberg Province, Germany, to Georg and Josefine (Netzer) Russ. She received her education in German schools.

On May 27, 1959, at Neu-Ulm Germany, Martha was married to James G. Seidl. He preceded her in death April 24, 2011. In July of 1961, she moved to the US with her husband.

She was a devoted housewife. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, gourmet cooking, loved kids and dogs. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford.

Martha is survived by siblings, Heinz (Anita) Russ, Alfons (Roswitha) Russ, all of Neu-Ulm, Germany, Inge Russ, Tom, Richard and Betty Seidl, also by many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, Georg and Josefine (Netzer) Russ, and siblings, Willy, Wilhelm, Herbert, Josef, Peter Russ, and Inge Fueglister.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to Hope Hospice of Medford
