Kaiser, Ralph J. (11 MAY 1918 - 17 SEP 2004)

Ralph J. Kaiser, 86, 220 8th Ave., Edgar, died Friday, September 17, 2004 at the House of Dove, Marshfield.

He was born May 11, 1918, son of the late Alphonse and Pauline (Weber) Kaiser. Ralph celebrated his 63 years of marriage to Martha Andres, married June 11, 1941 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Rozellville. She survives.

Ralph farmed in the Edgar area and owned and operated the Kaiser Shoe Store, Edgar until the time of his retirement. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and a 50 year member of the Catholic Knights, Edgar. Besides fishing, playing cards and building homes, he enjoyed helping his son, Dennis, on the family farm. Ralph took great pride in being with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Martha, Edgar, survivors include three daughters, Marilyn (Louis) Hack, Marathon, Paulette Lang, Edgar and Barbara (Edward) Solinsky, Mosinee; four sons, James (Florence) Kaiser, Sheboygan Falls, Dennis (Emily) Kaiser, Edgar, Edward (Elizabeth) Kaiser, Hastings, Minn. and Mark (Laurie) Kaiser, Sheboygan; 26 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Clifford (Joyce) Stencil, Edgar; six sisters, Dorothy Wenzel, Stratford, Rosemarie Ciegelski, Junction City, Grace (Warren) Lensmire, Stevens Point, Melanie (Raymond) Krebsbach, Colby, Anne Mae (Clifford) Rasmussen, Friendship and Margie (Claude) Krautkramer, New London; two brothers, Melvin (Elizabeth) Kaiser, Edgar and Virgil (Winfred) Kaiser, Schofield.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Stencil and brother, Oliver Kaiser.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Norman Boneck will preside. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Edgar.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church.

There will be a 7:30 p.m. rosary services Monday evening at the Edgar funeral home.
