Weller, Anita G. (Runzheimer) (26 MAR 1915 - 8 MAR 2017)

Anita G. Weller, age 101, died Wednesday, March 8 at Wells Nature View, 2711 S. Apple Ave, Marshfield, where she had resided since August 2010.

Anita was born March 26, 1915, to Henry F. and Anna L. (Wiersig) Runzheimer in Hull Township, Marathon County. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, and graduated from Colby High School with the class of 1933.

On June 8, 1937, she was united in marriage with Erwin W. Weller, rural Colby, at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. The couple farmed near Colby for a number of years and then relocated to Marshfield where Anita worked as the laboratory technician for Steve J. Miller Cheese Co. She and her husband were members of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews and their families: Karen (Ray) Redmann, L. Lee (Kitty) Runzheimer, James (Jan) Runzheimer, Beverly (John) Yagow, Susan (Jamil) Khan, Mark (Carol) Runzheimer, Arlette Bensyl, David (Jane) Runzheimer, Adrian (Judy) Ehlers, Leslie (Jeromy) Carmine.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years in 2004; by her siblings and their spouses: Walter Runzheimer, Olga Richards, Ervin Runzheimer, Litta Ehlers; a niece, Lois Runzheimer; a nephew, Ray Ehlers,Jr.; and husband Erwin's sisters: Hattie, Tillie, and Edna. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, at 11 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 604 Chestnut Ave., Marshfield. A luncheon will follow.

Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 10 AM. Interment at the Colby Memorial Cemetery at 2 PM. Memorial gifts may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Marshfield or to Lutheran Hour Ministries, 660 Mason Ridge Center Dr., St. Louis, MO 63141-8557.
