Gosse, Judy M. (31 JUL 1958 – 9 MAR 2017)

Judy Marie Gosse, age 58, of Madison passed away on March 9, 2017 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 31, 1958 in Marshfield, WI, the daughter of Herman and Hazel (Krueger) Gosse.

She graduated from Colby High School in 1976 and received her bachelor's degree in business administration from UW-Madison in 2002. She held several different positions with the state of Wisconsin, the most recent as a financial specialist with the Department of Geology, UW-Madison. Judy enjoyed travelling and being outdoors with the love of her life, Jim. She was an avid Packer fan and penguin collector. She loved spending time with family and friends cooking, playing games, watching movies, and making jokes. She particularly enjoyed being Beloved Aunt Judy to her nieces and nephew. Her smile brought joy to any room.

She is survived by her partner Jim Davies; her siblings Jeffrey (Mary) Gosse, Cheryl (Brian) Goodman, and Kevin Gosse; her nieces and nephew Rachael Goodman, Susan (Zach) Lein, Ashley Goodman, and Shaun Gosse; and her great-niece Rachael Lein. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Hazel Gosse.

A Remembrance Service and Celebration of Judy's Life will be held at the Arboretum Visitor Center's auditorium, 1207 Seminole Hwy, Madison on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 5:00 pm. A second service will be held at the Abbotsford City Hall on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Her ashes will be interred at the Colby Memorial Cemetery in Colby, Wis alongside her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the UW Arboretum Land Stewardship Fund or the Nature Conservancy of Wisconsin. Online condolences and additional information can be found at www.cressfuneralservice.com.
