Loewenstein, Marie Elena (14 NOV 1969)

The marriage of Miss Marie Elena Loewenstein and Thomas J. Osowski was held at 8 p.m. on November 14, 1969 in St. Patrick's Cathedral, El Paso, Texas. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Loewenstein of 1211 Prospect Ave., El Paso, and the bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Osowski, Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis.

White gladioli decorated the altar. Don Shearer was organist and Rev. M. Mirabel officiated at the double ring rite.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown was of white taffeta and lace overlay styled at street length, and carried white roses. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hollrah, friends of the bride and groom, served as attendants. Mrs. Hollrah appeared in a street length powder blue ensemble.

The bride's mother wore a grey wool ensemble with watermelon pink accessories. The bridegroom's mother appeared in aqua with navy accessories, and both wore white orchid corsages.

A reception was held in the Women's Club of El Paso. Mrs. David Morin and Mrs. Porter Baker, sisters of the bride, presided at the bride's book.

The bride is a graduate of El Paso High School and is employed at the University of El Paso Library. The bridegroom graduated from Thorp High School, and following a tour of duty with the U.S. Armed Forces in Vietnam, is stationed at Biggs Field. The newlyweds will make their home in El Paso until May, when they will live in Thorp.

Out of town guests included the bridegroom's mother of Thorp, Mrs. Irene Gryzkiewicz, aunt of the groom of West Allis, and Dave Osowski, brother of the bridegroom, who served as altar boy at the Mass.
