Balicki, Mr./Mrs. Anthony (Gold - 15 OCT 1969)

On October 18th, 1969 Mr. and Mrs. Anthony E. Balicki celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a 10 o'clock Golden Jubilee High Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Bernard's Church, officiated by Fr. Constance Chilicki, with the organist, Mr. Roger Truckey, and choir. Servers were Mark Osowski and Daniel Balicki, all arranged by their son and daughter-in-law. After Mass, cocktails and dinner were served at the American Legion Hall by the Legion Auxiliary. Later the guests were entertained by the "Polka Masters," Louie and Wally.

Their attendants, 3 couple, first the 2 survivors of the original wedding, Mrs. Mary Donash and Wm. J. Balicki, and the couple's two youngest brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Malen Balicki and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Osowski, also the 2 original flower girls, now Mrs. Ann Lato and Mrs. Helen Milewski.

Anthony Balicki was married to Rose Osowski on October 15, 1919 at St. Hedwig's Church by Fr. Kulig. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Balicki lived in Chicago until August 1968, now residents of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). They have one son and daughter-in-law of Slater, Missouri, one grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Balicki of Excelsior Spring, Missouri, one granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Emilia de la Fuente, and one great-granddaughter, Lisa Renle of San Francisco, Calif.

Many friends and relatives attended the celebration. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Balicki and daughter Gloria of Withee, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Milewski, Withee, Wis.; Mr. Al Rubisch, Withee, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stigen, Withee, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bonk, Owen; Mrs. Verna Slupski, Stanley, Wis.; Mrs. Clara Biddle of Greenwood, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Fritsch, Spencer, Wis.; Mr. Arthur Balicki, Milwaukee, Wis.; Miss Laura Lee Luebke, Milwaukee, Wis.; Miss Bernice Balicki, Bemidji, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene L. Balicki, Slater, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. George Locke, Lombard, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Havel, Downers Grove, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Milewski, Buffalo Grove, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Dulek, River Grove, Ill.; Mr. Charles Balicki, Mrs. Mary Donash and daughter, Joan, Mrs. Nora Powers and grandson, Micah; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cukla; Mr. and Mrs. Albin Bardel, Mr. and Mrs. George Consigny, and Mr. and Mrs. Elsie Schrumf and daughter Vivian, all of Chicago, Ill.
