Midikowski, Susan (14 JUN 1969)

St. Matthews Catholic Church, Wausau, was the setting for the marriage of Miss Susan Midikowski and Ronald Lawrence Zurakowski on Saturday, June 14, 1969. Rev. Bernard McGarty performed the 1:00 p.m. ceremony. Mrs. E.H. Sapstetter, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Glen Engebretson as organist.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Midikowski of Wausau and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Zurakowski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride wore a Chantilly gown which formed a scalloped Sabrina neckline bodice and is repeated in Victorian pannier skirt that reveals a panel down the front and trimmed in sequins and pearls. Detachable shoulder chapel train in all Chantilly lace. Her headpiece was cluster or petals, accented with rhinestones, and she carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white tipped carnations and daisies.

Miniature bride was Miss Connie Zurakowski, sister of the groom, attired the same as the bride and carried flowers like the bride's.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Gerald Salzer, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Miss Shirley Zurakowski, sister of the groom, Miss Sharon Woldt and Mrs. Ken Witkowiak, cousin of the groom. They wore maize chiffon over taffeta gowns styled with an empire waistline going into A-line skirt. Back was styled with a gathered fullness. Colorful tiny Venice flowers accented the waist, back and cuff of long puffed sleeves. Their headpieces were matching cluster of petals and flowers with short bouffant veils, and each carried bouquets of white daisies and yellow tipped carnations.

Richard Posda, uncle of the groom, was best man, and groomsmen were: Donald Midikowski, brother of the bride, Gerald Salzer, brother-in-law of the bride, and Ken Witkowiak,, cousin of the groom. Usher was Arnold Moheinitzky.

A reception dinner and dance were held at Schmidt's Ballroom.

The bride is a 1968 graduate of Wausau East High School, and the groom a 1966 graduate of Thorp High School, and is employed by Rippin Good Distributors, Inc.

After a wedding trip to Washington, D.C., they will be at home at 201 East School St., Thorp.
