Anderegg, Carol Sue (1 June 1985)

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Christie, was the scene of the wedding ceremony uniting Carol Sue Anderegg and Dale K. Strigel, both of Marshfield. Rev. Ralph O. Stuebs officiated at the 1:00 p.m. nuptial on June 1. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Anderegg, Rt. 2 Loyal, are parents of the bride and Mrs. Marilyn Strigel, Rt. 2 Auburndale, is the groom’s mother.

While organist Mrs. Judy Bobrofsky and vocalist, Mrs. Marlene Kuechenmeister provided music, the bride was escorted to the altar on the arm of her father.

Her off the shoulder taffeta gown featured venise lace, seed pearls, Victorian sleeves, and a ruffle flounced hemline sweeping to a cathedral train. A fingertip veil of matching lace accented her pearl trimmed hat. She carried a bridal bouquet of white and violet roses with baby’s breath.

Bridal attendants were attired in taffeta gowns in shades of orchid, violet and huckleberry, and carried roses and baby’s breath. Miss Fay Anderegg, Marshfield, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Chris Schoolman, Unity; Miss Lois Wiesman, Stratford; Miss Cheryl Anderegg, Loyal; and junior bridesmaid, Miss Lois Anderegg, of Loyal.

Attending the groom were bestman, Dennis Kundinger, Marshfield; and groomsmen, Bob Dorhorst, Unity; Clay Anderegg, Loyal; and David Strigel, Auburndale. Ushers were Monty Kuechenmeister, Neillsville, and Darrold Strigel, Auburndale.

A reception, dinner and dance followed at the American Legion, Marshfield. Wedding photography was provided by Strack, Neillsville.

The bride is a 1984 graduate of Loyal High School and is employed at the Marshfield Mills Fleet Farm and Dairy Queen. A 1979 graduate of Auburndale High School, the groom is assistant kitchen manager at Perkins Restaurant, Marshfield.

Following a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside at 9445 Highway BB, Marshfield.

Angela Andres and Jeffrey Wolf were united in marriage on June 1 at United Church of Christ, Neillsville. The bridegroom’s father officiated at the 2:00 p.m. ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Robert and Delores Andres, Wisconsin Rapids. Gale and Jean Wolf, Neillsville, are parents of the groom.

Michelle Andres, sister of the bride served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Karla Weigal, a friend of the bride from Wisconsin Rapids; and Terri and Kathy Wolf, sisters of the groom, from Madison. Patrick Wolf, brother of the bridegroom, from Neillsville, was bestman. A cousin of the groom, Eric Sager, of Green Bay, was groomsman; as were Mike Doud, of Mt. Horeb, and Rod McLean, Neillsville, both friends of the groom. Guests were escorted into the church by ushers John Boetzberger, Marshfield, and Todd Wolkf, Eau Claire.

Mrs. Sylvia Wolf, grandmother of the bridegroom, from Woodruff, was organist. Soloist Reina Christman, from Wisconsin Rapids, is a friend of the bride.

Mrs. Wolf is a 1981 graduate of Lincoln High School, Wisconsin Rapids. Mr. Wolf graduated in 1980 from Neillsville High School, attended Nicolet College, and is employed by Madsen Corporation, Madison.

Garbisch, Cheryl Marie (8 June 1985)

Cheryl Marie Garbisch and Timothy Allan Steinbach were united in marriage on Saturday, June 8 at the United Church of Christ, Neillsville. The 1:30 p.m. ceremony was performed by Rev. Mark Voll. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Garbisch, Rt. 2 Granton, are parents of the bride. Timothy Steinbach is the son of Joyce Steinbach, Granton, and Vernon Steinbach, Lodi, Wisconsin.

Accompanist Eileen Zank and singers Mark and Sue Voll provided music as the bride walked to the altar on the arm of her father. Her Queen Anne style white dress of Chantilly lace and taffeta was adorned with pearls and sequins. A matching hat, trimmed in pearls, featured a fingertip veil. Pink roses, orchids, miniature carnations, baby’s breath, and Ivy comprised the bridal bouquet.

Sister of the bride, Cynthia Sachs, from Marshfield, was matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jay (Lori) Gallagher, sister of the bride, from Spencer, and Miss Julia Anderson, a friend from Whitehall. Each were attired in a rose colored taffeta dress with a sweetheart neckline and schiffli embroidered trim. They carried bouquets of white lace fans with daisies and pink and white carnations. Flower girl was Angel Garbisch and Nicholas Sachs, nephew of the bride was ringbearer.

Todd Lewis, a friend of the groom, from Granton, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Jerry Steinbach, brother of the groom, from Loyal, and Jon Alexander, a friend from Granton. Don Sachs, brother-in-law of the bride, and Ed Steinbach, brother of the groom, were ushers.

Following the ceremony a reception and dance was held at the American Legion Hall in Loyal. Strack Photography, Neillsville, provided wedding photography.

A 1982 graduate of Granton High School, the bride will graduate in November, 1985, from UW-River Falls. She will have a B.S. degree in agricultural education. Mr. Steinbach attended Granton schools and is employed by Smith Feed Transport, Loyal. After a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, the couple will reside at Mapleway Terrace, Loyal.

Fr. Joseph Henseler officiated at the nuptial of Jane Kessler and David Kuhlman during a 2 p.m. ceremony held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, on Saturday, June 1. The bride is the daughter of Louis and Shirley Kessler, Rt. 4 Neillsville, while the groom is the son of Willis and Sussie Kuhlman, Lewisville, Minnesota.

Rosebuds at the shoulder and waist accented the yards of white taffeta of the sashed bridal gown. Carrying a bouquet of six white roses, baby’s breath, greens, and veiling, the bride was escorted to the altar by her father.

Her attendants were attired in gowns of peach frost matching the bride’s, and carried bouquets of peach roses, baby’s breath, green, and veiling. Shari Kessler, sister of the bride, from Minneapolis, served as maid of honor, while friends Kari Wahl, Austin, Minnesota; Jamie Zimmerman, Kim Short, and Sherry Kren, all of Neillsville, were bridesmaids. Cousin of the bride, Ashley La Nou, Eau Claire, was flower girl and Michael Kren, the bride’s godchild from Neillsville, was ring bearer.

The groom was dressed in a tuxedo of white tails and his groomsmen wore similar tuxedos of silver. Randy Johnson, of Lewisville, Minnesota, attended the groom as bestman. Groomsmen were Rob Kuhlman, Charleston, Illinois, and Don Kuhlman, St. James, Minnesota, both brothers of the groom; and friends, Mike Wiederhoeft, of Truman, Minnesota, and Bert Paris, Madison.

Guests were escorted into the church by Doug Kuhlman, St. James, Minnesota, brother of the groom; and Steve Kessler, of Wisconsin Rapids, brother of the bride. Reader during the ceremony was Jeff Kessler, Edina, Minnesota, the bride’s brother. Music was provided by organist Kris Herbrand and vocalist Brad Zimmermann.

Immediately following the wedding, a reception and dinner was held at the Wild Cat Inn, with a dance at the Silver Dome concluding the celebration.

Included in prenuptial events was a surprise shower held by Kiari Wahl; a shower hostessed by the bride’s sister, Shari; a couple’s shower hosted by Pat and Lucy Gavin, and a shower given by the groom’s mother. Formal wedding photography was taken at Strack Studio, Neillsville.

The bride attended UW-Stevens Point and is advertising representative for the Clark County Press, Neillsville. Mr. Kuhlman is a graduate of UW-River Falls in agriculture and is a loan officer at First National Bank, Neillsville. Following a wedding trip to Mackinac Island and Niagara Falls, the couple will be at home in Neillsville at 310 Clay Street.

Johnson, Cindy M. (1 June 1985)

In a 1:00 p.m. ceremony on June 1, Cindy M. Johnson became the bride of Eric A. Prindle. Pastor Jim Gesell officiated at the service held in Humbird at the Countryside Evangelical Free Church. Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson, Merrillan, are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Prindle, Alma Center.

Serving the bride as matron of honor was Brenda Trachsel. Bridesmaids were Theresa Ripp, and Sherri Matalas. David Duerkop attended the groom as bestman, while Theron Prindle and Jeff Prindle were groomsmen. Bill Johnson ushered guests into the church.

A reception followed at the Osseo Inn, Osseo, Wisconsin. The couple will reside in Kingsville, Texas.

Kronberger, Lori Kay (8 June 1985)

Pastor Howard Ott officiated during the 1:30 ceremony, Saturday, June 8, at the United Methodist Church, Neillsville, joining Lori Kay Kronberger and Timothy E. Tresemer in marriage. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kronberger, 1808 Pitcher Street, Neillsville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Tresemer, Rt. 4 Neillsville.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride’s gown featured Venice lace that outlined the off the shoulder neckline, Victorian sleeves, ruffle flounced hemline sweeping to a cathedral train and a matching picture hat. The bride carried a bouquet of lavender rosebuds with white carnation baby’s breath and little lavender violets.

Diane Friedemann, Chili, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Attendants were Debbie Cernik and Gayle Kronberger, both of Neillsville, Sandy Prahl, Bloomer, and Diane Kronberger, Granton. The attendants wore bouffant violet taffeta gowns with off the shoulder neckline, puffed sleeves and rubble flounced hemline sweeping to a chapel train. They carried bouquets of lavender and white carnations and roses with baby’s breath.

The groom’s silver gray tuxedo, with tails, was complimented with a white rose bud. Bestman, Matt Meyer, Neillsville, friend of the groom and groomsmen, Jim Skroch, David Lewis and David Kronberger, all of Neillsville, and Dennis Buchholz, Greenwood, wore silver, gray tuxedo tuxedos accented with a white carnation. Ushers were Craig Kronberger, Granton, and Mike Zager, St. Cloud, Minnesota. Music was provided by the “Combinations” from Bloomer, Wisconsin.

Following the ceremony, a reception and dance was held at the American Legion Hall in Neillsville. Wedding photograph was performed by Strack Photography, Neillsville.

Showers were given by the groom’s sisters, grandmother, mother and aunts; and by the bride’s sister, sister-in-law, and friends.

A 1983 graduate of Neillsville High School, the bride is employed as secretary-bookkeeper at Wayne’s Agri-Fix. The groom, a 1979 graduate of Neillsville High School, is a Home Energy inspector for the Clark County Department of Weatherization. After a trip to the Bad Lands in South Dakota, the newlyweds will reside at 709 W. 4th St., Neillsville.

Magnusen, Lori Kay (15 June 1985)

Pastor Mark Voll united Lori Kay Magnuson and Raymond Walter Leggate in marriage during the afternoon wedding services, June 15, at United Church of Christ, Neillsville. Parents of the bride are Earl and Geri Magnuson, Rt. 4 Neillsville. The groom is the son of Walter and Marilou Leggate, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Escorted to the alter by her father, the bride was attired in a white taffeta ball gown featuring a lace-trimmed cathedral train. Puffy sleeves trimmed with lace, pearls and sequins were complemented by the bride’s elbow length gloves. Her three-tiered, ankle length veil, also featured pearls and lace, and she carried a cascade bouquet of peach Sonia roses, and white roses, with stephanotis, baby’s breath and ivy.

Sister of the bride, Debra Magnuson, from Marshfield, was maid of honor while bridesmaids were Miss Carolyn Wallace and Miss Lisa Smith, both of Neillsville, and Miss Linda Leggate, of Houston, Texas. The attendants wore floor length peach taffeta gowns with layered bodices and puffy sleeves. They carried a simple flower spray of peach carnations, white roses, and baby’s breath rested on one arm. Stacie Magnuson and Scott Magnuson, niece and nephew of the bride, served as flower girl and ring bearer.

Bestman to the groom was Joe Wnek, of Venice, California. Gary Humboldt, Neillsville, Gary Reed and Forrest Rieder, both of Superior, Wisconsin, were groomsmen.

Music was provided by pianist Vicel Gaier, organist Eileen Zank, and soloist, Kendall Smith. Wedding photography was performed by Strack Photography, Neillsville.

Following the ceremony, a reception and dance was held at the Riviera Supper Club, Hatfield. The couple will make their home at Rt. 4 Neillsville after a wedding trip to Niagara Falls.

A 1982 graduate of Neillsville High School, the bride is a sales associate at Prange’s, Marshfield. The groom graduated from Superior Senior High School and is a supervisor at Lynn Dairy and Lynn Proteins.

Judy Nowobielski and Jody Conner became husband and wife at a nuptial Mass, Saturday, June 8. Fr. John Puerner officiated at the 3:00 p.m. ceremony held at St. Bernard’s-St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Thorp. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nowobielski, Rt. 1 Thorp are parents of the bride. Mr. Conner’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Conner, Rt. 1 Chili.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was attired in a bouffant Chantilly lace gown featuring an off the shoulder neckline, bishop sleeves, and ruffle flounced hemline sweeping to a chapel train. Her Waltz length veil complemented the floral wreath headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white roses, baby’s breath, and Boston fern, with lace ribbon.

Pat Nowobielski, sister of the bride, from Thorp, served as maid of honor, while Mrs. Cheryl Peters, friend of the bride, from Rudolph, was her bridesmaid. Each wore an off the shoulder gown of sheer lilac print over taffeta, completed by a ruffle flounced hemline sweeping to a brush train. They held cascade bouquets of Lavender and white daisies and baby’s breath, and wore headpieces to match their bouquets.

John Anderson attended the groom as bestman, while Keith Baumann was groomsman. Both are friends of the groom from Marshfield. The groom and his attendants were dressed in grey Devon tuxedos. Guests were escorted into the church by Mitch Conner, Chili, brother of the groom, and Ed Nowobielski, Thorp, brother of the bride.

A reception, dinner, and dance at the Thorp American Legion Hall followed t he ceremony. After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple will reside in Neillsville, at 118 Clay Street, Apt. 4.

Prenuptial events were a bridal shower given by the bridal attendants, and a bachelor party hosted by John Anderson. Wedding photography was done by Strack Studio, Neillsville.

Mrs. Conner is a 19i79 graduate of Thorp High School, and graduated from Stevens Point in 1980, as a licensed practical nurse. She is currently attending St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, Marshfield. Mr. Conner graduated, in 1975, from Marshfield Senior High, and UW-Eau Claire in 1981, with a degree in journalism. He is Assistant Editor of the Clark County Press, Neillsville.

Stylen, Rena Marie (3 May 1985)

Rena Marie Stylen, La Crosse, and Raymond Richard Petkovsek, Madison, were married Friday, May 3, at St. Paul’ Lutheran Church, La Crosse. Pastor Arnold Athey officiated at the evening ceremony at which the bride and groom entered the church together. Jim Stylen, Phoenix, Arizona and formerly of Coon Valley, is father of the bride. Her mother was the late Rachel Stylen. Bill and Dorothy Petkovsek, Willard, are parents of the bride.

A white chiffonette gown with fitted bodice and Melon-puff sleeves trimmed with Wedgewood and Venice lace was worn by the bride. Her crescent-shaped bouquet contained silk gardenias, pink roses, larkspur, baby’s breath, and ivy accented with angel’s lace, netting, ribbon and pearls.

Mrs. Jeff (Brit) Davidson, Chaseburg, Wisconsin served the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Peggy Nelson, La Crosse; Miss Gerrianne Guthrie, La Crosse; and Miss Brenda Wolfe, Minneapolis. The wore full length dresses of wine colored satin brocade. Their hand-tied bouquets featured silk pink roses and wine-colored forget-me-nots with pink netting, pearls, angel’s lace and pink satin ribbon. The flower girl wore a hair wreath of wine and pink straw flowers, angel’s lace and pearls, trimmed at the back with a small veil of white netting and pink and wine ribbons. She carried a white basket of strawflowers trimmed with ribbons.

Attending the groom was bestman Gene Sowieja, Madison; George Kowieski and Joe Klein, both of Madison; and Al Brey, Middleton, Wisconsin. Guests were escorted into the church by George Kaschub, Madison, and Mike Neubauer, Cottage Grove, Wisconsin.

Following the ceremony a reception and dance was held at The Old Power House, La Crosse.

An employee of G. Hellerman Brewing Company, of La Crosse, the bride attended Jefferson High School, Lafayette, Indiana. A graduate of UW-Madison, the groom is a self-employed C.P.A. and real estate developer. After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple is now at home at 201- Ellen Avenue, Madison.

Swenson, Kay (15 June 1985)

The Rev. Paul Forde performed the ceremony at 4:00 p.m., June 15, uniting Kay Swenson and Gregg Aiken in marriage at the Calvary Lutheran Church. The bride, daughter of Cal and Fern Swenson, Rt. 3 Neillsville, was escorted down the aisle by her father. The groom is the son of Daymond and Marian Aiken, Rt. 1 Iola, Wisconsin.

The wedding gown, which the bride designed and made, was white voile featuring hand-embroidered floral designs, puffed sleeves and chapel length train. Seed pearls and lace further adorned her gown. A while silk flower wreath, with a fingertip length veil, was also made by the bride. Her bouquet was a mix of stem-cut daisies, carnations and lilies in white and pastel colors.

Her maid of honor, Leslie Kaldenberg, Stevens Point, and bridesmaids Linda Swenson, Adrian, Michigan; Amy Aiken-Zdroik, Rosholt, Wisconsin; and Deeda Aiken, Brooklyn, New York; wore sea foam green cotton tea length gowns with sweetheart necklines and short, puffed sleeves. White cumber bun belts, white hosiery and white pumps completed their ensembles. Their stem cut mixed flowers included daisies and carnations, and were white and pastel colors. The bridesmaid’s dresses were made by Fern Swenson, mother of the bride, Hazel Naedler, grandmother of the bride, and Linda Swenson, sister-in-law of the bride. The bride also made the flower girl’s dress and the ringbearer’s suit.

The groom wore a black full dress tuxedo with tails, white shirt, vest and bow tie. Bestman, Mark Swenson, Niagara, Wisconsin; groomsmen Charles Perrizo, Houston, Texas; Warren Swenson, Scandinavia, Wisconsin; and Paul Aiken, New York, New York; wore black Tuxedos, white shirts and black bow ties.

Neil Swenson, Fridley, Minnesota; and Judd Aiken, Garner, North Carolina, were ushers. The ring bearer was Nathan Swenson, Niagara, Wisconsin; and Kari Swenson, Adrian, Michigan, was the flower girl.

Processional and recessional music was from Handel Sonata in B flat, featuring Randy Schneeberger on Trumpet and Kris Herbrand on piano. Sons were sung by Greg Reierson and accompanied by Kris Herbrand. They Included “Precious and Few,” “That’s the Way,” “Wherever You Go,” and “Always and Forever.”

Following the wedding, there was a dinner and dance at Fannie’s Supper Club, Neillsville, with music by the Waldhart’s.

Showers were hosted by Leslie Kaldenberg, with Fern Swenson and Amy Aiken-Zdroik, and by the rehabilitation department at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh.

The bride graduated from University of Texas, Medical Ranch at Galveston, in physical therapy. She is employed as a physical therapist at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh. The groom received his B.S. from UW-Stevens Point in 1979 and his M.S. from the Institute of Paper Chemistry, Appleton, Wisconsin, in 1981. He is presently Pursuing his Ph.D. at the Institute of Paper Chemistry. Cal and Fern Swenson, parents of the bride, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary, also on June 15.

After a wedding trip to Banff National Park, Albert, Canada and Eagle River, Wisconsin, the bride and groom will reside in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
