Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Carlson and grandsons, Daryl and Duane Carlson, her mother, Mrs. John Schwartz and Miss Selma Schwartz of Colby, and Miss Glenda Lindgren of Kingsford, Mich. attended commencement exercises at Stout State University, Menomonie, Saturday. Herb Carlson was in the graduating class. Following the exercises, they all, and other relatives, were guests at dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nelson. Mrs. Nelson is the former Mae Carlson.

Emil Venzke of rural Abbotsford is a medical patient at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rankl had as guests at dinner Friday evening, Mrs. Ruth Schwantes and John Karau of Spencer, in observance of the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Ruth Schwantes.

Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Schmirler were among the guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schmirler, Edgar, following commencement exercises.

Mrs. Darrell Sossaman entered St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Thursday and underwent major surgery Friday morning.

Glenn Misener , who is recuperating from major surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, is reported as now being out of intensive care.

Sr. Carol Dolan of Winona, accompanied by Sr. Mary Victorine of Rochester, Minn., spent Thursday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Dolan.

Mrs. Manda Borgemoen of Curtiss is a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Guests at the home of Misses Blanche and Jessie Merrill Thursday were their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Berton Hoffman, Stockbridge.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jepsen and Karen, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Zier and Amy of Bangor, attended the commencement day activities at Macalester College, St. Paul, Saturday. David Jensen wwas in the graduating class.

The Albert Bergeson family will be moving in the near future back to their farm home at Ogema. Mr. Bergeson has been transferred from Abbotsford to the Oscar Mayer buying station at Lancaster.

Miss Marlene Schelling, accompanied by Miss Daphne Tobit, both students at Wisconsin State University, spent a recent weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Schelling.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Paul had guests at their home Sunday in honor of their daughter, Linda, who was graduated from the Owen-Withee High School. Present were her brother, Keith, who is home for the summer months from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, her grandmother,, Mrs. Helena Woempner, Abbotsford, Miss Lorraine Paul, Evanston, Ill., Ray, Otto and Art Paul, Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Paul and Mrs. Mabel Hornung, Tomahawk, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Fitzlaf, Medford, Mrs. Martha Benzman, Lansing, Mich.

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Leahy, Michelle and Maria, Appleton, came Thursday afternoon and stayed until Saturday afternoon with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.N. Hutt, and his mother, Mrs. Della Leahy.
