Evelyn Thurs, 75, Wausau, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at her home.

Friends may call 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau.

She was born June 24, 1934 in Somerville, daughter of the late Frank and Gladys (Talon) Kennedy.

She is survived by her children, Francis Cowan, Kelly Cowan, Robin Kennedy, Shawn Cowan, William Cowan, Dan Thurs and Margaret "Maggie" Keneen.

Evelyn loved animals so in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to any pet rescue or wildlife protection organization of your choice.
