Sperling, Shirley (17 JUN 1967)

Shirley Sperling and Leslie Craven were married in a 2 o'clock ceremony on the 17th of June, 1967 at the Yorkville Methodist Church, Union Grove.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sperling of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.). Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson (aunt and uncle of the groom) were acting parents for the groom.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white lace over a silk satin suit. She wore a shoulder length three tier veil fastened to a jeweled crown. The bride carried a bouquet of red rosebuds and white carnations.

Miss Sandra Konik, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Jane Nerenberg, friend of the bride, was bridesmaid. They wore identical pink linen street length dresses with matching veil headpieces. Their bouquets were of white carnations and pink daisies.

Arnold Schoeneck, brother-in-law of the groom, served as best man. William Sperling, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Serving as ushers were Frank Saeger, brother-in-law of the groom, and Ronald Sperling, brother of the bride.

The bride's mother wore a navy blue print dress. Mrs. Anderson wore a ;ale blue crepe dress. Both wore single beige orchid corsages.

A reception followed in the church parlors. Following a wedding trip to the Wisconsin Dells, the couple will reside at route 1, Union Grove.

The groom is employed at Jacobson Mfg. Co. and the bride is a member of the faculty at the elementary school at Sturtevant.
