Ortman, James R. "Jim" (2 OCT 1941 - 23 OCT 2016)

James R. "Jim" Ortman, 75, Milan, died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Deerview Meadows in Medford, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

He was born October 2, 1941 in Indiana, son of the late Robert and Wilma (Conner) Ortman. On November 2, 1979, he married Ramona "Rae" Huettl in Milwaukee. She survives.

In his younger years, Jim was an independent milk hauler and later worked for Peter Trucking in Athens and retired from Anamax Company in Abbotsford. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed gardening and traveling with his wife, Rae.

Survivors include his wife; five siblings, Jack (Barb) Ortman, Athens, Donna Solchenberger, Athens, Betty (David) Holbach, Athens, Martha Rodman, Edgar and Phyllis (Gerald) Klimpke, Athens; and many nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held at the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Abbotsford.
