Murphy, John “Jack” F. (2 SEP 1938 - 5 OCT 2016)

John “Jack” F. Murphy, age 78 of Ogema and a former Madison and Park Falls resident, passed away on Wednesday, October 05, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Noon Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Father Otto Bucher officiating.

Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 12:00 P.M. Noon Saturday, October 08, 2016 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake.

Pallbearers will be his sons, Rob and Mike Murphy and his grandchildren.

Jack was born on September 02, 1938 in Chicago, to John and Eileen Murphy.

He attended elementary school in Chicago, IL and graduated from Park Falls High School in Park Falls, WI.

On October 25, 1958, in Park Falls, Jack married the love of his life Monica “Toots” G. Slack and she survives.

Jack worked many sales jobs until he joined Proctor & Gamble sales in 1973 until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He is a former member of G.M.R.

He is survived by his wife, Monica “Toots” G. Murphy, Ogema; his mother, Eileen Balczewski; children Janet (Timothy Bosley) VanderWaal of Mosinee, Michael (Lisa) Murphy and Robert “Rob” (Gail) Murphy both of Sun Prairie; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Jack is predeceased by his father John Murphy, and his step father, John Balczewski.
