Mrs. Lois Carlson and daughter Karen drove to Granton to visit at the home of her Great Aunt, Mrs. Harold Scharf.

Thursday, September 3, Mrs. Lois Carlson took her daughter Karen to Milwaukee where Karen will attend the University of Wisconsin. She will be studying to become a nurse.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry House accompanied Mrs. George Cook and Mrs. Clarence Ravy to Keshena, where they attended the Indian Pow Wow. They also visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Wood at their cottage at Townsend.

Mr. and Mrs. Lodi Lemanski, Milwaukee, visited at the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Korntved, Tuesday through Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Korntved and Mr. and Mrs. Lodi Lemanski, Milwaukee, visited in Wausau at the homes of their brothers and sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Welk and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Welk and family, Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Steg and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tryba and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Korntved drove to Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday to attended the wedding of niece Linda Potter and John Freund.

Weekend visitors at the home of Mrs. Anton Korntved were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brewer and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Burk and son Mike. Mrs. Richard Burk and son Mike arranged to be spending the week at the home of Mrs. Anton Korntved.

A family get-together was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Steinwagner Saturday afternoon. Those present were Mrs. Ronald Steinwagner and son Mike, Mrs. Nellie Bruesewitz, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Bruesewitz, Waukesha; Mr. and Mrs. Fredric Bruesewitz and sons Steven, Scott, and Todd, Marshfield.

The Brighton Homemakers will hold their next meeting on Thursday, September 9, at the home of Mrs. Gordon Lynn.

Mr. and Mrs. Hanley Holton, Minneapolis, visited at the home of Mrs. Gordon Lynn and Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lynn.

Having enlisted in the Army for two years in July, Ronald Steinwagner left from Abbotsford August 28 for Milwaukee for his physical. He will be taking his basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he is now stationed. His wife Carole and son Mike, for the present, will be making their home by Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Steinwagner.

Mrs. Glen Jackel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordan, Unity, was awarded a Master of Science degree in nursing by the University of Colorado, at the summer commencement exercises held recently. The former Rosemarie C. Jordan has completed her studies through the School of Nursing at the University Medical Center in Denver. She is a graduate of St. Rose High School, St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, and Viterbo in La Crosse, and had completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado in 1970.

Mr. and Mrs. Adolf Rabehl attended the funeral of their aunt, Mrs. Albert Rabehl, Rice Lake, on Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Erling Rohde and family, Rice Lake, were recent visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolf Rabehl.

Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Adolf Rabehl were their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Paulson and sons, Dennis and Brent, Elk Mound.

Arlene Schultz accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Dan Fischer on Sunday to Glidden, where they were visitors at the home of their grat aunt.

Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Fischer were Sunday visitors at the home of their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Joslin, Nekoosa. They also visited the Joslin Museum, which has antiques of all kinds.
