Braun, Amelia (17 APR 1896 – 21 JUL 1971)

Services were held Friday, July 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, for Amelia Braun, 75, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), who died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 1971 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, following a short illness.

The Rev. Norbert E. King officiated and burial was made in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Vern White, Jim Loos, Bob Braun, Gary Braun, Larry White and Mike Braun.

Amelia Keller was born April 17, 1896. She received her education at the Richland County schools. She was born and raised in Cazenovia, Wisconsin. After her marriage on May 1, 1917, in Cazenovia, to Benedict Braun, she and her husband moved to a farm near Neillsville. In 1919 they then moved to a farm at Greenwood, and then later moved to the town of Eaton, near Loyal, where they farmed until retirement in 1957. They then moved to the city of Loyal.

Amelia Braun was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, St. Anthony's Altar Society and the Senior Citizens.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth White (Bernice), Loves Park, Illinois; Mrs. John Loos (Marie, Loyal; Mrs. Reginald Buran (Rosella), Manitowoc; Mrs. Joe Picconie (Corrine) Temple City, California; six sons, Robert, Chicago; Vincent, Loyal; Gerald, Chicago; Art, Brawley, California; Ronald, Watertown, and Tom of Portage; 42 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Bauer, Cazenovia, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Olive Klinke, Greenwood; three brothers, Ricard Keller, Madison; Jake Keller, Dorchester, and William Keller, Reedsburg, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, on September 1, 1962, and two sons and two brothers.
