Hunt, Edna (6 JUL 1880 – 14 MAR 1964)

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 1964, at Georgas Funeral Home, Neillsville, for Mrs. Edna J. Hunt, 84, of 118 Clay St., who died Saturday morning at Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Lloyd Mauer, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The former Edna Neverman was born July 6, 1880, at Neillsville and was educated here. She moved to Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), where she was married on Oct. 31, 1900 to Clarence M. Hunt. They moved to Minnesota in 1919 and came to Neillsville in 1943. Her husband preceded her in death in 1949.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. J.A. (Beatrice) Hopkins, Silver Bay, Minn.; Mrs. Paul A. (Mary) Benton, Tulsa, Okla.; and Mrs. William (Pauline) Martenis, Minneapolis; two sons, Rebeley, Rochester, Minn.; and Thomas, Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. William (Alma) Hannah, Mineral Point; 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. George (Theodora) Segar, in 1063.

Mrs. Hunt was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Folks from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. Fred Brass, St. Paul, Minn.; Dr. and Mrs. Paul C. Benton, Tulsa, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Neville Hunt, Chippewa Falls; Dr. and Mrs. Hale W. Hunt, La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thompson and sons, Chilton, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Hanna, Mrs. Alma Hannah, Mineral Point; and Mrs. Harold Blaasch, Greenwood.
