Moore, Florence (Flo) H. (4 September 1925 - 8 July 2016)

Her obituary sent to us by her daughter, Kathie Schwarz..

Florence H. (Flo) Moore, age 90, entered into her Savior’s presence on July 8, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Neillsville, Clark County, WI on September 4, 1925 to Clarence and Bertha (Mohr) Stiemke. Florence graduated from Neillsville High School then moved to Milwaukee, WI when she was 18 years old. She began employment at Curtis Wright Airport as a control operator. Flo Was married to Irvin R. Moore on March 22, 1955 in Milwaukee, eventually making Brookfield, WI her home.

Flo’s primary role was taking care of her home and family while enjoying the hobbies of gardening and canning. Later in life Flo and Irvin moved into the cottage built by Irvin in Neillsville. They later settled in Montana (Big Fork and Kalispell), and Arizona (Yuma) before her final home with family in Springfield, Ohio over the last 9 years. Flo lived a simple life with her faith in Jesus. She loved making friends, talking to strangers, especially interacting with young children. She was loved by many as she had never met a stranger, only a future friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Roy on Sept. 13, 2007 along with both her parents, her only sibling, Lorraine Gottschalk, and her oldest son, Michael Jon Moore.

She is survived by her children: Ronald S. Moore (Gloria) of Ferryville, WI; Bryan K. Moore of Granton, WI; Darla L. (Jason) Robey of Clinton, WA; and Kathie L. (Randy) Schwarz of Springfield, OH. She will be missed by 9 grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters with a great-grandson on the way!

Flo was a faithful member of Risen Christ Lutheran Church for several years. We will be offering a gathering of family and friends for celebration of her life instead of formal funeral service, per her wishes, at Littleton and Rue Funeral Home 930 N. Limestone St. Springfield, OH on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with a brief sharing beginning at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers or cards we ask that each one of you honor Flo’s life with a random act of kindness in a pay-it forward kind of way. What better way to serve her and your Risen Lord, than by sharing that love of Christ with one another.
