Kauth, Kathleen Mary (15 JUN 1968)

St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, West Bend, was the setting for the 12 o'clock noon nuptial mass Saturday, June 15, 1968, which united in marriage Kathleen Mary Kauth and Robert Raymond Dums. Rev. Edmund Haen officiated. Parents of the young couple are Dr. and Mrs. Robert T. Kauth of West Bend, and Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Dums of Colby.

John Reis, soloist at the ceremony, was accompanied at the organ by Michael Fisher.

For her wedding, the bride chose a gown of pure silk organza styled in the cage silhouette. A daisy Venice lace yoke encrusted with tiny seed pearls designed her jewel neckline and lace short sleeves. Individual hand-clipped Venice lace daisies adorned the sheer skirt and outlined the hem which flowed gracefully into a full chapel length train. To complete the ensemble she wore a profile headpiece designed by delicate pearlized orange blossoms that held a bouffant veil of imported silk illusion. She carried a bouquet of white orchids surrounded by stephanotis.

Maid of honor was Patricia Anne Kauth, sister of the bride, who attended the bride along with Mardi Jean Steisel, Waupun, and Arleen Lois Kauth, also a sister of the bride, as junior bridesmaid. They were identically dressed in floor length gowns of maize dotted Swiss, featuring a modified scoop neckline, short sleeves and an empire bodice accented by multi-colored floral trim. Their soft flowing A-line skirts were slightly gathered at the back. Their headpieces consisted of white daisy mums and they carried bouquets of white and yellow mums.

Ronald Dums, Colby, brother of the groom, served as best man, while R. Michael Kauth of Milwaukee, brother of the bride, served as groomsman. Guests were ushered by Jon Kauth, brother of the bride, and Gary Dums, brother of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a buffet dinner and reception were held at Gumm's.

The former Miss Kauth is a June 1968 graduate of Wisconsin State University, Whitewater, with a degree in elementary education. While in college, she was affiliated with Alpha Sigma.

Mr. Dums, a 1967 graduate of Whitewater, has a degree in business administration. He was affiliated with Phi Sigma Epsilon.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Dums will be living at Fayetteville, North Carolina, where Mrs. Dums will be teaching elementary school and Mr. Dums is a sales representative for Oscar Meyer Company.
