Krapf, Betty Ann (28 SEP 1963)

Bouquets of chrysanthemums graced the altar of Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, Saturday, September 28, 1963, for the wedding of Miss Betty Ann Krapf, Eau Claire, and Duane E. Patridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Strehlau, R.W. Menomonie.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Krapf, R. 2, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).

The young couple repeated their nuptial vows before Rev. Wm. V. Nikolai at a 10:30 a.m. High Mass.

For her wedding the bride wore a luxurious chapel-length bridal gown of peau-satin. The scoop neckline, with a modified collar of re-embroidered Alencon lace, acceted the fitted bodice. A flat front skirt with soft side and back pleats, a sash at the back waist, swept into a chapel train, all with embroidered appliques of Alencon lace. With her gown she wore a pearl and crystal crown holding a veil of pure silk illusion, and carried a cascade arrangement of white gardenias.

Four attendants were in the bridal party. They were Mrs. Eileen Krapf, West Allis; as matron of honor, Miss Connie Strehlau, Menomonie, Miss Phyllis Lamovec, Eau Claire; and Miss Judy Belensky, Waukegan, Ill., as bridesmaids.

They were gowned in street length dresses of willow green satin, fashioned with a V-neckline accenting the fitted bodice with a bow at the front waist. Completing the dresses were short jackets with a scoop neckline, in back a flat bow and streamers to the hemline of the dome skirt.

Each wore a modified pillbox headpiece with a flat bow in the front, which held a blush veil. They carried a cascade bouquet of chrysanthemums.

Attendants of the groom were Charles Krapf, West Allis, as the best man, with Allan Lamovec, Greenwood, Larry Burns, Menomonie, and Richard Schlough, River Falls, groomsmen. Edward Zorman and Gary Lemke ushered.

Wedding day events consisted of a dinner following the ceremony, reception, supper and dance at the Holy Family church Hall in Willard.

The bride, a 1961 graduate of Greenwood High School, also graduated from Vocational School in Eau Claire, and is employed there by Teamsters Union Local 662, as a secretary. The groom, an electrician, also graduated the same year from Menomonie High School, and graduated from Eau Claire Vocational School.

After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, they will make their home in Eau Claire.

Out of town guests came from Menomonie, Colfax, Elk Mound, Chippewa Falls, West Allis, Greenwood, Loyal, Baldwin and Eau Claire, Wis.; Waukegan, Ill.; and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
