Sheila Trindal, a senior at Loyal High School, has been selected as the 1970-71
DAR award recipient. Sheila is the daughter of Mrs. Dorothie Trindal and the
late William Trindal.
The Daughters of the American Revolution award is presented to a senior girl.
The qualifications the girl must fulfill are dependability, service, leadership,
and patriotism. Keeping these qualifications in mind, the entire senior class
selects three girls. One of these girls is then selected by the faculty to
become the DAR winner.
Sheila is an active member in many school activities and functions. Some of
these are cheerleading, band, drama, forensics, and a variety of school clubs.
Sheila was also the Girls State representative from Loyal. As the winner, Sheila
is now eligible for bonds and scholarship awarded by the state organizations.
Among Sheila's interests and hobbies are acting, the arts, and horseback riding.
Sheila's future hopes are to become an actress and performer.
